Come anticipato ieri, ecco il comunicato ufficiale dell'European Pattern Committee (EPC) diffuso nella giornata di martedì e pubblicato dai maggiori media mercoledì mattina. In seguito alla riunione del 16 Gennaio a Parigi, ha diviso in capitoli i vari argomenti di discussione:
CAPITOLO 1: PROMOZIONI E DECLASSAMENTI: Per quanto riguarda il capitolo promozione, le corse elevate dal precedente status sono state tre, tra cui la British Champions Long Distance Cup di Ascot diventata G2 dal G3 precedente, mentre le Dick Poole Stakes di Salisbury e le Vintage Crop Stakes di Navan sono diventate di G3 rispetto al precedente status di Listed. Delle retrocessioni abbiamo parlato in un post a parte, cumulando il tutto e facendo un pò di ordine diciamo che sono 10 le corse declassate tra cui il Gran Criterium di San Siro, diventato di G2. Tra le altre, anche il Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial di Leopardstown, il Prix Noailles di Longchamp ed il Goldene Peitsche di Baden-Baden sono diventate di G3, scendendo di un gradino del G2 precedente, avendo fallito i requisiti di rating previste per le stesse negli ultimi 3 anni. Le Dee Stakes ed il Queen’s Vase sono passati da G3 a Listed, mentre le 4 Listed italiane di cui abbiamo parlato ieri sono state cancellate e diverranno semplici belle condizionate e sono l'Enrico Camici di Pisa, il Criterium Labronico di Livorno, e due di Siracusa quali il Criterium del Mediterraneo e il Criterium Aretuseo.
CAPITOLO 2, I CAMBIAMENTI DI DATE NEL 2014: L'EPC ha approvato la creazione del nuovo festival di due giorni che si chiama Irish Champions Weekend che avrà luogo tra Leopardstown ed il Curragh tra il 13 e il 14 Settembre 2014. Il programma comprende 10 corse di Gruppo, di cui 5 a livello di G1 (le Irish Champion G1, le Matron G1 spostate di una settimana in avanti e le Moyglare Stud G1 da fine agosto al 14 Settembre dunque hanno subito una variazione di date) e di conseguenza, dopo una effervescente riunione, è stata accolta la richiesta dell'Inghilterra di spostare le Sun Chariot Stakes G1 di Newmarket di una settimana, facendole posizionare al 4 di Ottobre e verrebbe mantenuta la distanza di 3 settimane dalle Matron Stakes G1. Il Fillies Mile G1 dal 27 Settembre si correrà il 17 Ottobre, le Rockfel G2 dal 12 Ottobre al 26 Settembre, le Dewhurst G1, le Middle Park G1 e le Challenge G2, sono spostate di 5 giorni dal 12 al 17 Ottobre. Spostamenti riguardano anche la Francia, con il Royal Oak G1 sui 3100 metri che non si correrà più ad inizio Ottobre nel meeting dell'Arco, ma a fine Ottobre a Saint-Cloud. Il Jean Prat G1 ha subito una variazione di data dal 30 Giugno al 14 Luglio. Degli altri cambiamenti riferiamo più sotto.
CAPITOLO 3, CONTROLLO QUALITA' E CORSE A RISCHIO RETROCESSIONE: L'Europa ha sempre avuto un occhio di riguardo alla qualità delle proprie corse. Dopo la riunione è emerso che 14 Pattern races (6 Gr.1s, 4 Gr.2s e 4 Gr.3s) comprese 29 Listed, sono a rischio downgrade dal 2015.
CAPITOLO 4, LE CORSE ITALIANE: Ci hanno messo in guardia per il fatto che se non paghiamo tutti i debiti con gli stranieri entro fine Marzo 2014, dal 2015 siamo depennati dalla riunione dell Comitato Pattern, esclusi dal libro pattern e messi in quello di secondo livello in accordo con l'International Race Planning Advisory Committee (IRPAC) e la Society of International Thoroughbred Auctioneers (SITA), praticamente inseriti nella parte II del librone, che ci escluderà di fatto dall'Europa che conta e le nostre corse non saranno più neretti nei cataloghi. Per intenderci, l'Uruguay fa parte di questo capitolo ma paga i premi con ampio anticipo rispetto a noi.
CAPITOLO 5, LE LISTED: Un paio di promozioni nel capitolo riservato alle Listed, in accordo con la International Federation of Horseracing Authorities (IFHA) e la SITA, il Grand Prix de Jockey Club in Svizzera, ora sarà considerata una Listed. Promosse a Listed anche 2 corse in Irlanda, alle quali non è stato dato ancora il nome. Di seguito il dettaglio di tutti i segmenti.
