Focus sui First Crop Sires 2020: BURATINO. Pedigree e prospettive

In questa puntata, dei focus sugli stalloni first crop sires 2020, andiamo a casa di Buratino, uno dei più attesi stalloni in orbita Darley.
Buratino è stato subito precoce e veloce, vincendo al debutto nell'apertura della stagione 2015 a fine Marzo. Battuto alla seconda corsa, ha vinto alla terza corsa disputata migliorando sempre più nel modo tipico di Mark Johnston. Alla quinta uscita ha impressionato ad Epsom nelle Woodcote Stakes Lr vinte per 6 lunghezze e dopo quella ha avuto tempo di vincere anche al Royal Ascot, emergendo nelle Coventry Stakes G2 al cospetto di 16 rivali e battendo anche uno come Air Force Blue, poi vincitore di G1. Impegnato in G1, è arrivato poi terzo nelle National Stakes G1 e finendo la stagione dei 2 anni con un secondo posto alle spalle di Shalaa nelle Middle Park Stakes G1. A tre anni ha esordito nella stagione nelle 2000 Ghinee di Galileo Gold, correrà altre 4 volte senza mai piazzarsi. Però è stato un 2 anni con i fiocchi.
Chi è Buratino? Un figlio di Exceed And Excel (Danehill) che ha, nel pedigree, il nome di Northern Dancer presente molto spesso nelle 4 sezioni della sua scheda. Buratino è stato il miglior prodotto, sinora, della fattrice Bergamask (Kingmambo). La seconda mamma Adonesque (Sadler's Wells),  è sorellastra del campione e stallone Danehill Dancer (Danehill) e di altri.
La prima annata di Buratino alle aste è stata ben accolta. Tra i suoi figli più costosi c'è un maschio da Opportuna, sorellastra dello sprinter The Cheka, acquistato da Armando Duarte per £60,000. Due altri yearlings hanno fatto €42,000, uno acquistato da Endo Botti mezzo fratello della Incolinx Verde E Rosa, prodotto della fattrice made in Nuova Sbarra Giant Dream (Giant's Causeway). David Redvers ha pagato la stessa somma alle Goffs Orby Sale per un'altra femmina. In generale sono 88 i figli registrati della prima annata, molti dei quali si presume debutteranno in questa stagione. Buratino funziona per €5,000 al Kildangan Stud in Irlanda, per conto Darley.
